The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) of St. Louis, established in 1979 is the leading provider of advocacy services and information on nursing homes, regulations and resident’ rights to nursing home residents and their families. Our service area covers 52 facilities in St. Louis City and 196 facilities in Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson and Franklin. As of July, 2006, services were also extended to the residents of 80 licensed nursing homes in 16 counties of Northeast Missouri. LTCOP is currently the only agency providing advocacy and information services to long term care nursing home residents and individuals free of charge in the community. Annually the agency serves approximately 6,000 long-term care nursing home residents and responds to approximately 4,000 calls for information and services for long term care placement options and needs.

A summary was provided by the team lead:

Our task was to redesign LTCOP web site, and adding  functionality which would allow clients to ease their work of maintaining their website, as well as maintain details for other facilities.

My special thanks to our team of dauntless developers (Nimesh Gala, Bill Lange, Jagadish Allu, Nancy Moor) for working till the end, who worked not just understanding site-finity, but also provided solution to it.

Maureen and Sandra had good set of requirements. We were able to accomplish few things and provide basic training on using the features.

We are still working with Steve, their IT manager to resolve issues with their ISP hosting of the website.
